Confirmation! turns the club inward and finds something tender
Club music that stopped trying to impress the room and started trying to tell the truth.
Acceptance you can dance to
Samantha Poulter made her name as Logic1000 with Mother, a 2024 debut built for the dancefloor at full tilt. Confirmation! keeps the pulse but moves the furniture: this is a record about acceptance, growth and self-belief, and the production spreads out to match — house, pop, downtempo, trip-hop and leftfield electronica all get floor space across a lean 31 minutes.
The guest list reads like a group chat of the genuinely interesting: KUČKA, Jam City, FAUZIA, yunè pinku and Christine and the Queens, who duets with Poulter on the synth-pop shimmer of “The Only One.” Nobody here is a marquee for marquee’s sake. Each collaboration bends the album’s shape.
Ten tracks, zero filler
What elevates Confirmation! is discipline. Nine proper songs plus the “48 Fairmount” intro, every one of them a genuine song rather than a DJ tool with vocals draped over it.
- “The Only One” (feat. Christine and the Queens) — The centerpiece: two singular voices finding the same frequency.
- “All In For You” (feat. KUČKA) — A chill single straddling pop and trip-hop.
- “Jersey” (feat. Jam City) — Excellent synth-pop, all chrome and momentum.
- “2Love” (feat. FAUZIA) — The album’s most direct emotional hit.
- “Forgiven” — A slow-dance closer that lands the record’s thesis.
The Weekly Ten says
Confirmation! is the rare club record that trusts softness as much as pressure, and it makes Logic1000 one of the most quietly ambitious producers working right now.
THE WEEKLY TEN RATING: 4.6 / 5
