Intro: The Weekly Ten curates ten standout emerging artists every week. We accept free submissions from independent artists, labels, and managers for possible placement, review, or feature. We’re editorial and selective — send your best work and a clear pitch for why it belongs on our Hot List.
Why submit
- Curated exposure — your track could reach a dedicated audience of music discoverers and tastemakers.
- Editorial spotlight — selected submissions may receive a Spotlight feature, Hot Track pick, or premiere.
- No fees — submissions are free; placement is editorial and competitive.
Submission requirements
Required items
- Recommended track link — SoundCloud private link, Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, or similar.
- EPK or press kit link — PDF or hosted EPK.
- Artist photo — high resolution JPG or PNG, minimum 1200×1200.
- Short bio — 50 to 100 words.
- Contact email — for press and scheduling.
- Social links — Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, etc…
Optional but helpful
- Alternate track link; one-sentence pitch explaining why this release matters; label or manager contact.
Technical and editorial rules
- One submission per release. Do not submit the same track multiple times.
- Private streaming links preferred for easy listening. Avoid download-only links.
- File size limit for uploads 10 MB, host larger files externally and provide links.
- Original music only or properly licensed remixes. No uncleared samples.
- English or English-translated materials preferred for editorial review.
- Premieres and exclusives prioritized. If you request a premiere, state it clearly in your pitch.
What we look for
- Distinct voice and strong songwriting.
- Memorable hooks and professional production.
- A clear story or angle that makes the track newsworthy.
- Artists on the rise who fit our editorial taste. We do not guarantee placement.
Terms and usage
By submitting you confirm you own or are authorized to submit the material. You retain all rights to your music. You grant The Weekly Ten a non-exclusive right to stream, feature, and promote the submitted track on our website, newsletter, and social channels for promotional purposes, with artist credit and links as provided. We will not sell your contact details outside of necessary editorial communications.
Response timeline and follow up
- Review window up to 4 to 6 weeks.
- If selected we will contact you with placement details and scheduling.
- Not all submissions receive replies. You may resubmit new releases after three months.
Tips to increase consideration
- Submit a single standout track rather than an album.
- Keep your bio concise and newsworthy.
- Use a private streaming link for easy listening.
- If you want a premiere, state it clearly and explain why it matters.
